The inauguration ceremony will be graced by Prof. (Dr.) Lovely Sharma, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, as the Chief Patron.

Rusen Kumar, National President, Ambedkar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will grace the occasion as the Special Guest.

Dr. Soumitra Tiwari, Registrar, Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, will grace the programme with his esteemed presence.

The workshop is designed as a creative platform for students and emerging artists to reflect on Dr. Ambedkar’s life, philosophy, and contributions through visual expression. Participants will be encouraged to interpret themes such as equality, liberty, fraternity, education, constitutional values, and social justice—principles that remain central to India’s democratic journey.

Conceived as a creative and intellectual tribute, the programme seeks to connect young artists with the ideas that shaped modern India—constitutional morality, equality before law, and social justice—by encouraging them to translate these enduring values into compelling visual narratives.

Ambedkar Chamber’s leadership presence underlines the organisation’s commitment to promoting Ambedkar’s message through contemporary platforms, including youth engagement, education, and institutional collaborations.

Rusen Kumar said, “Art is not only about beauty; it is also a language of social consciousness. This painting workshop will give young artists an opportunity to understand Ambedkar’s ideas through colours and carry them forward to society.”

What gives the workshop a distinctive academic and artistic character is its strong leadership structure and patronage within the university system. The programme is being held under the patronage of Dr. Soumitra Tiwari, Registrar, Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya. Academic guidance and departmental coordination are being provided by Prof. Manas Sahu, Dean, Faculty of Visual Art, and Dr. Vikash Chandra, Painting Department. The institutional framework is further strengthened by the active support and leadership of the Registrar, underscoring the university’s commitment to nurturing arts-based academic initiatives.
