AHMEDABAD: Cygnet Infotech today announced its partnership with Ahmedabad-based NGO Samerth Charitable Trust to support the underprivileged sections of society through two important CSR initiatives.
Through this partnership, the company is committed towards supporting the education of children by donating 80 new tablets. Alongside this, the company has also supported Samerth Charitable Trust by providing one month’s food ration kit to 700 vulnerable families that have been impacted due to the pandemic.
Commenting on these initiatives, Niraj Hutheesing, Founder & Managing Director of Cygnet Infotech said, “Cygnet Infotech is committed to its organizational values and today we are happy to join hands with Samerth Charitable trust with an aim to empower digital education of children and help the families affected by the pandemic. Together with our CSR partner, we have taken up this project to educate children and encourage supervised tutor-based learning through digital communication. Additionally, as many families in the country are going through tough times, we are trying our best to help some of them by providing them with one month ration.”
Access to tablets for learning is a step towards bridging the digital divide and providing equal opportunity for the less privileged to learn and participate in the digital ecosystem. Cygnet Infotech has donated the tablets in the memory of the parents and grandparents of the employees of Cygnet Infotech who have passed away due to the COVID-19. Each tablet is engraved with the names of the deceased family member. The teachers and volunteers of Samerth Charitable Trust will leverage these Tablets to enable more than 350 children from less privileged communities, in and around Ahmedabad, to continue their education through digital means.
Corporate Social Responsibility at Cygnet Infotech is closely linked to the organization’s vision which is to empower lives globally with technology-enabled business solutions.
