THANE (India CSR): In collaboration with Thane Municipal Corporation and Thane Tree Authority, Oberoi Realty, today announced the launch of its Thane City Beautification Drive. This transformative CSR initiative is aimed at enhancing Thane’s green cover for sustainable urban development. The initiative aligns with the city’s Smart City vision, strategically redefining its landscape to foster environmental and infrastructural improvements while reinforcing Oberoi Realty’s CSR efforts to eco-conscious urbanization.

Vrukshavalli 2025: A Platform for Sustainability

Vrukshavalli 2025 serves as an ideal platform to unveil this initiative, bringing together key stakeholders, environmentalists, civic bodies, and citizens who share a collective vision for a greener, more sustainable Thane. The annual festival organized by the Thane Municipal Corporation is scheduled to take place at Raymond Grounds from February 14th to 16th and is open to visitors.

As part of this initiative, Oberoi Realty will drive the beautification of a 16-kilometer stretch within Thane, converting road medians into lush green corridors. The Thane City Beautification Drive includes small-scale tree plantations of vibrant native species, sustainable landscaping, improving biodiversity and a long-term maintenance program to ensure ecological balance. Supporting the Thane Smart City Initiative’s focus on sustainability, Oberoi Realty remains committed to integrating nature into the city’s evolving infrastructure.

Oberoi Realty’s Commitment to Sustainable Urban Development

Speaking at the event, Prachi Gadkari, Assistant General Manager – Liaison, Oberoi Realty, said: “We are pleased to collaborate with the Thane Municipal Corporation for Vrukshavalli 2025, reaffirming our shared commitment to sustainable urban development. Thane is emerging as a premier urban destination, seamlessly integrating connectivity, infrastructure, and a thriving business ecosystem while advancing toward its Smart City vision. Oberoi Realty’s projects, Forestville in Kolshet and Oberoi Garden City Thane in Pokhran, are testaments to our belief in Thane’s transformation into a key satellite hub, strengthened by its strategic proximity to Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.

At Oberoi Realty, we believe that development and environmental consciousness must go hand in hand. Our vision extends beyond real estate—we aim to create green, liveable, and future-ready neighbourhoods by integrating nature into the built environment using diverse native plant species in median plantations. Through the City Beautification Initiative, we take decisive steps to elevate not only Thane’s aesthetics but also its ecological resilience and urban lifestyle.”

Aligning Urban Development with Nature

The City Beautification Initiative reflects Oberoi Realty’s core philosophy of creating environments that nurture both people and nature. It also aligns with the company’s broader vision of integrating biodiversity into urban planning, exemplified by its landmark projects such as Forestville in Kolshet and Oberoi Garden City Thane on Pokhran Road 2. These developments promise to redefine sustainable urban living, ensuring that Thane’s residents experience a lifestyle enriched by green spaces and eco-conscious design.
