The ‘Stairs Against Drugs” campaign will sensitise and engage stakeholders on the growing menace of Drug/Substance Abuse Among Youth, Especially School Students.
New Delhi (India CSR): Society for Transformation, Inclusion and Recognition through Sports (STAIRS), a not-for-profit organization working towards sports, education, health and skill development of children across India has collaborated with xBhp, India’s biggest motorcycling platform in their #roadTripUnited2022 for its ‘Stairs Against Drugs’ program. xBhp and the riders riding across 10,000 kms in 45 days covering 25 cities clockwise starting from Delhi will be spreading awareness about the growing drug addiction problem in India and will encourage youth to #SayNoToDrugs. The effort is also being supported by DSPIN Consulting Pvt. Ltd a group of ethical and successful leaders who have made a mark in the industry and provide end-to-end solutions to facilitate entry into the Indian market.

Through our association with xBhp we aim to spread the message of #SayNoToDrugs across the nation.”

Indian schools have steadily become the new haven for drugs, with Delhi NCR leading the stats on the facts. In 2018 and 2019 several reports highlighted how drug cartels have set their eyes on our teens today, and these young students are increasingly vulnerable to substance abuse, owing to peer pressure, parental neglect and denial, and in many cases as a result of poverty.
The consumption of drugs has severe developmental, economic and psychological consequences for the user and their families. Additionally, societies are faced with an increased number of juvenile crimes, instances of violence and traffic accidents, amongst other menacing outcomes. According to a report commissioned by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in 2017, cannabis and opioid use and dependence in Delhi NCR is amongst some of the highest in the country. Moreover, according to the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment over 90% of street children in the national capital are addicted to drugs.
