Learn about the impressive CSR efforts of Supreme Foundation as we take a look at their spending over the past five years


MUMBAI: The Supreme Industries Limited, an Indian company, has been actively involved in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives for the past few years. The CSR Committee met on 28th April, 2022 and reviewed the activities undertaken by the company from 1st April, 2021 to 31st March 2022. They also discussed and approved the plan for the financial year 2022-2023.

During the year under review 2021-22, the company has spent a sum of R 15.77 Crore under its CSR initiatives. These include donations to several registered trusts, as well as direct spending for educational purposes in schools and colleges, basic living facilities, health care, natural disaster relief, cleanliness, self-employment initiatives, and cultural activities. The company also provided its goods at special prices to philanthropic NGOs and trusts.

To better understand the company’s CSR spending over the years, the following table provides a breakdown of the spending for the past five years:

Total CSR spending from the past five years is 60.70 Crore.

The company conducts its social development programs primarily through the Supreme Foundation. The foundation focuses on providing quality education, uplifting the underprivileged community, and preserving and protecting the environment through water, sanitation, health and hygiene, and tree plantation.

The foundation also plays an important and constructive role in balancing the socio-economic structure of the Rajasthan region by providing human and physical resources to improve the quality of education at government schools. The foundation has also continued to work to improve the education level in government schools and colleges in Rajasthan, as well as in various schools in Ladnu Tahsil of Nagore District.

In the coming year, the Supreme Foundation plans to spend about Rs.1900 Lakhs on various existing and proposed activities to continue its focus on improving education and providing basic living facilities. This includes infrastructure improvements at various schools, such as construction of classrooms, toilet facilities, and drinking water facilities, as well as providing computers, books, furniture and other required accessories. Providing basic living facilities and construction of village roads, water kunds and public convenience facilities will also be continued.

The Corporate Social Responsibility Committee is responsible for overseeing the company’s CSR initiatives and is in compliance with section 135 of the Companies Act 2013. The Committee meets regularly to review the company’s progress and plan for the future.

The Supreme Industries Limited places a high value on its social responsibility and is dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities in which it operates. Through the work of the Supreme Foundation, the company is working to improve the lives of many and create a more equitable and sustainable future.
