Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), the principal financial institution engaged in the promotion, financing and development of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on its 30th foundation year, is launching Swavalamban Express – a train journey to empower Entrepreneurs under its mission Swavalamban.
The train will visit 12 cities in 16 days and will cover 7000 km journey. Around 20 workshop and interactions will be held.
“Mission Swavalamban is an umbrella program wherein we are taking all steps towards inducing entrepreneurship culture amongst youth. Several steps aligned to SIDBI Vision 2.0 towards supporting innovative, inclusive and impact oriented engagement are being taken.
The four guiding pillars of the mission are Connect, Interaction, Security and disseminate. Swavalamban Express is an initiative align to mission Swavalamban.”, SIDBI said.

Key features Make something happen – Learn from changemakers, interact with role models, create a business plan, pitch to marquee investors.
Mentorship Opportunity
Dynamic individuals with age 28 or above aspiring to be a part of the Swavalamban Express are encouraged to apply as mentors for the journey. Mentors would act in the capacity of counsellors, trainers and Subject Matter Experts for the participants and would facilitate participants to shape dreams and submit a Business Plan at the end of the journey.
Registration Process
This is 3 level process:
Level A – Registration process.
Level B – Application for on-boarding the Swavalamban express. (At this level you will submit form for being considered for in principle selection)
Level C – To be submitted by those who are in principle selected for on-boarding of train.
