NEW DELHI: SBI Life Insurance joins hands with Growdiesel Climate Care Council, a non-profit organisation, launched an AI-enabled Mobile Clinic for Covid-19 Testing & Vaccination to accelerate the much needed scaling up of testing & vaccination in Delhi.
The initiative has been undertaken as part of SBI Life’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and will support in making healthcare facilities like vaccination and testing accessible to the masses with a focus on the underprivileged sections of the society.
As the second wave of Covid-19 grips the nation, it is imperative that we control the rising cases of infections to break the chain. While we all need to responsibly follow Covid appropriate behaviour by staying indoors, using masks and sanitisers when required, the only way to contain the rapid spread of infection is by getting the entire population vaccinated at the earliest.
Vaccinations will play a decisive role in this battle against the pandemic. The AI-enabled mobile clinic is capable of administering over 500 vaccinations per day and the in-built refrigeration makes the mobile clinic fit for transportation, thereby making vaccinations accessible for the needy, even in remote locations. Such mobile clinics will go a long way in ensuring universal vaccinations for all.
The AI-enabled Mobile Clinic is an effort undertaken to ramp up Covid-19 vaccination and testing for the masses. The day-to-day operations will be taken care by Delhi District Administration. A fully air-conditioned bus has airtight separate cabins for doctors & technicians, the mobile clinic also comes with a separate ambulance zone and separate entry gates for doctors and patients.
Essentially, it requires no human touch for processes like checking the temperature or using sanitizers. The mobile clinic has an internet-of-things enabled electrical system in such a way that sanitising machinery can be operated via phones. Further, to solve the storage issue of vaccines for long hours, the mobile clinic also has an in-built refrigeration with extra power to make the mobile clinic fit for transportation.
