Textile Leader Supports Mumbai Hospital Renovation, Inspired by Legacy of Compassion

NEW DELHI (India CSR): Sanathan Textiles Limited, a prominent name in India’s textile manufacturing sector, has demonstrated its strong commitment to social responsibility through a substantial Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contribution. The company has partnered with Masina Hospital in Mumbai and the Rotary Club to support the renovation of a hospital ward. This significant initiative, valued at Rs. 2.05 crores, is dedicated to improving local healthcare infrastructure and enhancing patient care and critical treatment capacity.

Investing in Enhanced Patient Care

The core of Sanathan Textiles’ recent CSR effort is the renovation of an 18-bed hospital ward at Masina Hospital. This includes the crucial addition of 6 high-dependency beds, specifically aimed at boosting the hospital’s capacity for critical patient treatment. The total investment in this project amounts to Rs. 2.05 crores, specifically allocated towards improving the local healthcare infrastructure. This partnership with Masina Hospital and the support of the Rotary Club underscore a collaborative approach to addressing community health needs.

A Tribute to a Legacy of Service

Sanathan Textiles has stated that this healthcare initiative holds a deeper meaning. The project is dedicated to the memory of Late Shantaben Dattani. The company highlights that her legacy of compassion and service continues to be an inspiration, guiding their ethos. This dedication links the corporate philanthropic action directly to the foundational values that the company seeks to uphold.

CSR as a Reflection of Identity

According to Sanathan Textiles, Corporate Social Responsibility is not merely an obligation but is viewed as a fundamental reflection of the company’s identity. The renovation project at Masina Hospital stands as a clear testament to this philosophy. It exemplifies the company’s dedication to driving meaningful impact beyond just commercial objectives.

Sanathan Textiles aims to contribute to the broader healthcare ecosystem with empathy and purpose. Sammir Dattani, Executive President- Raw Material & Fully Drawn Yarns, articulated this perspective, stating, “At Sanathan Textiles, we believe that business success means little unless it uplifts lives”.

He further added that the partnership with Masina Hospital and Rotary Club is a “heartfelt tribute to the values of Late Shantaben Dattani, whose spirit of compassion continues to guide us”. Dattani emphasized that this initiative is more than just a contribution; it represents a “commitment to making healthcare more accessible and humane”. He concluded by noting that when empathy leads the way, growth truly becomes transformative.

Sanathan Textiles: A Leader in Yarn Manufacturing

The company specialises in three key yarn verticals: Polyester Filament Yarns, Cotton Yarns, and Yarns for Technical Textiles.
