BHUBANESWAR: A high level safety related seminar was organized by Department of Labour & ESI and DGUV here recently in Bhubaneswar.
Top head of leading Industry houses of the state attended the event to discuss about various aspects of Safety and Security at industrial plants.
Leading aluminum producer of the country – Hindalco Industries Ltd’s Managing Director Satish Pai attended the event as Guest of honor and discussed on the topic of Vision Zero in Non-Ferrous Industries.
He deliberated upon three layer security management system which includes: Top leaders commitment and inmate, Inclusion of security system at every level of production and regular compliance of it and he also gave emphasis on better and regular assessment of the system so that flaw-less system can be ensured.
“Top leaders of the industries should not restrict themselves only to policy making and policy decisions. Executives who are working on the front and other employees those who are working at the grassroots level, everybody should understand the importance of safety and make themselves responsible for it” emphasized Pai.
Apart from that, regular training to employees, fixing of responsibility and by following of national international level standards, this system can be strengthened further added Pai.
The entire event was coordinated by Directorate of Factory and Boiler of Govt of Odisha.
