HUBLI (Karnataka): FUEL has partnered with Coal India Limited for the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and has completed the first batch of training to the youth of Hubli, Dharwad.

Through this initiative, Coal India Limited has provided career counselling and academic coaching along with Artificial Intelligence and Digital Marketing training to over 200 youth. The initiative had aimed to make more youth job-ready by counselling them on career opportunities and providing skills training needed for employment.

Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines, Prahlad Joshi, has honoured the convocation program and distributed the certificates to the students. He as well mentioned that even though if the student is not performing well in subjects like Maths and Science, he can get success in life with such futuristic skills training programs which are required by the industry. He as well appreciated the initiative of Ketan Deshpande, and Santosh Huralikoppi from FUEL.

Future Skill development is the need of the hour, with the present skills training capacity in the country estimated at four million as against close to 12 million people who join the workforce each year. As a result, approximately 80 per cent of the total workforce in the country do not receive training and only 10 per cent of are job-ready and employable without any training, according to a recent research report.

In addition to the skills training, career counselling focused on:

Increasing self-awareness of the youth.

Educating them on the various career paths and Futuristic Skills.

Helping them pursue their chosen path by connecting them with industry partners for internships/placements.

“We are pleased to partner with Coal India Limited to impact needy youth & look forward for more such opportunities in the near future,” said Santosh Huralikoppi, Chief Mentor, FUEL
