MUMBAI (India CSR): Marking the 92nd birth anniversary of its Founder-Chairman Dhirubhai Ambani, Reliance Foundation announced the results of its prestigious undergraduate scholarships for the 2024-25 academic year. Aimed at nurturing future leaders and empowering youth across India, the programme has selected 5,000 outstanding undergraduate students from nearly 100,000 applicants nationwide.

1 Transforming Lives Through Education

The Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships are among the most inclusive and impactful higher education initiatives in India. Designed to remove financial barriers, the scholarships provide selected students with a financial grant of ₹2 lakh, mentorship, and access to professional development opportunities throughout their academic journey.

“This initiative is a testament to Reliance Foundation’s commitment to empowering the next generation and shaping India’s future through education,” a spokesperson from Reliance Foundation remarked.

2 Diverse and Talented Scholars

This year’s selected scholars represent the diversity of India:

  • Applicants: Nearly 100,000 first-year undergraduate students applied from all States and Union Territories.
  • Academic Excellence: 83% of selected scholars scored above 90% in Class XII.
  • Economic Background: Around 70% come from households with an annual income below ₹2.5 lakh.
  • Inclusivity: 147 scholars are students with disabilities.
  • Geographic Spread: Scholars hail from 540 districts and are studying in over 1,300 institutes across the country.

The scholarships cover tuition fees, hostel expenses, and other educational costs, enabling students to focus entirely on their studies.

3 Comprehensive Support Beyond Financial Aid

In addition to financial assistance, scholars benefit from a wide range of developmental opportunities:

  • Mentorship Programmes: Expert guidance to shape career paths.
  • Skill-Building Workshops: Training sessions to enhance both technical and soft skills.
  • Leadership Development: Scholars are encouraged to develop leadership qualities through participation in social initiatives and volunteer activities.

“Education is the key to unlocking opportunities, and we are proud to be a part of these transformative journeys,” added the spokesperson.

4 Reliance Foundation’s Commitment to Education

Launched in 2022, the Foundation pledged to award 50,000 scholarships over 10 years, making it the largest private scholarship initiative in India. Since then, over 5,100 scholarships are awarded annually, including 5,000 for undergraduates and 100 for postgraduates.

The Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarships, launched in 1996, along with the Reliance Foundation Scholarships, have already impacted over 28,000 young lives, enabling them to excel in academics, leadership roles, and professional growth.

5 Checking Scholarship Results

Students who applied for the 2024-25 scholarships can check their results online by following these steps:

6 Building a Brighter Future

Past scholars have achieved remarkable milestones, from placements in leading global companies to groundbreaking research that elevates India’s global standing. Reliance Foundation continues to invest in young talent, creating opportunities for students to contribute to the nation’s growth.

“By nurturing aspirations and fostering excellence, Reliance Foundation is shaping a brighter future for India,” the spokesperson concluded.
