A flagship CSR initiative of Metropolis, MedEngage Scholarship Program rewarded 122 young medical students (final year MBBS & MD/DNB) with Awards & Scholarship grants of total worth up to INR 90 plus lakhs. This is inrecognition of their achievements in academic scores, extra-curricular activities, and presentations.

Launched in the year 2018, MedEngage Scholarship Program is aimed at nurturing and nourishing the medical talents in India. The program supports the students to contribute to healthcare research in the country by financially rewarding the deserving candidates and providing them with practical knowledge through Metropolis’ world-class laboratories and a panel of experts on board.

This year’s edition of MedEngage Summit had received over 5000 registrations from several governments and private medical colleges located across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, and Andhra Pradesh among others. Dr. Shah added, “We believe that our constant support to these medical students will encourage them to complete their studies and pursue their medical practice in India which is already running short of doctors per population. With the successful implementation of the MedEngage program during the last three years, Metropolis looks forward to hosting a much bigger event every year and felicitating the young medical talents towards building a better healthcare ecosystem in the country.”

The shortlisted 122 students were selected from six different categories namely Champion of Champions (23), Pedagogue (36), Scholar Collar (15), The Vibrant One (21), Wizkid (6), and Wordsmith (21).
