Scholarship Program to Benefit 200 Colleges Across India
NEW DELHI (India CSR): LG Electronics, a leading name in the consumer durables sector in India, has unveiled its flagship CSR initiative, the Life’s Good Scholarship Program. This program is designed to provide financial support to students across India, particularly focusing on promoting education for the girl child, and aims to ease the financial burden of pursuing higher education.
First Edition Successfully Launched
Inaugural Event at Corporate Office Noida
LG Electronics India marked the successful launch of the Life’s Good Scholarship Program by hosting the first edition at its Corporate Office in Noida. During the event, scholars from three esteemed institutes—Galgotias University, Jaipuria Institute of Management, and Lloyd Law College—were felicitated by the Managing Director of LG Electronics India.
Scholarship Eligibility and Criteria
Supporting a Diverse Group of Students
The Life’s Good Scholarship Program is open to students from any academic year of higher education, provided they have achieved a minimum of 60% in their previous class. Scholarships will be awarded based on two primary criteria: need-based and merit-based selection. The need-based category reserves 25% of scholarships for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Merit-based scholarships are available to students who have secured at least 75% marks in their 12th-grade exams or maintain a 7 GPA in subsequent academic years. Notably, 25% of the scholarships are dedicated to meritorious female students, reinforcing the program’s commitment to promoting girl child education.
Financial Assistance Details
Significant Support for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Studies
The scholarship will provide financial assistance amounting to 50% of tuition fees or up to INR 1 lakh for undergraduate students and up to INR 2 lakh for postgraduate students, whichever is lesser. This initiative aims to significantly reduce the financial barriers faced by students in pursuing their academic aspirations.
