BHOPAL (India CSR): In collaboration with Act-Eve Education and Social Welfare Association, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited gave 30 sets of furniture to a government school in Jawahar Nagar. Rishav Gupta, District collector of Dewas Madhya Pradesh, who was present at the event, lauded the work being done by the Act-Eve Foundation and emphasised the value of working together between the government and nonprofit organisations to enhance society.
Five Govt schools will receive furniture sets thanks to Sun Pharma.
Sun Pharma and Act-Eve Foundation want to donate 160 furniture sets worth Rs 5 lakh to five government schools in addition to the 30 sets of furniture already given to the Jawahar Nagar school. The programme was announced by Vivek Bhargava, Senior Manager of Sun Pharma Industries, and Mohan Verma, President of Act-Eve Foundation.
Govt. officials, educationists, and industry leaders attend event
Collector Gupta was welcomed on behalf of the school by head teacher Nasreen Sheikh and Act-Eve Foundation president Mohan Verma. In addition to the district collector, other government officials, educationists, and industry leaders were present at the event, including Kishore Asnani, secretary of the organisation, and senior managers Vivek Bhargava and Kamlesh Devikar from Sun Pharma.
District collector plants saplings in school premises
As part of the event, district collector Rishav Gupta also planted saplings in the school premises, promoting environmental awareness and sustainability.
Open-minded cooperation between industries and social workers urged
Collector Gupta emphasised the importance of cooperation between competent social workers and industries in improving society, urging them to work together with an open mind.
