Chakan, Pune (India CSR): Huntsman India, a global manufacturer and marketer of differentiated chemicals, on Monday said it will set up a new secondary school building in Bhamboli village in order to provide world class higher education facilities to about 1180 children of classes fifth to twelfth from surrounding eighteen to twenty villages, as part of commemoration of a decade of operations at its state-of-the-art polyurethane manufacturing plant in Chakan, Pune. Commonly known as Bhamchandra Vidyalaya, the current institute has been operational since 1990.

Apart from basic facilities, the school will also be equipped a unique playground made from recyclable polyurethanes material, state-of-the-art education facilities such as laboratories equipped with STEM learning equipment and offer education in the field of information and communication technologies. Huntsman will also be providing a bus service for students along with consideration towards safety of girls traveling long distance to attend school.

“It is truly a red-letter day for Huntsman today as we lay the foundation for a school building that caters to the children of Bhamboli. Education is very important for young minds, and I am proud to be associated with a company that is taking a step towards building the future of these underprivileged children.
