Honeywell has pledged more than $3M towards COVID relief and has established COVID care centers and critical care centers across Delhi, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra and Karnataka. To date, Honeywell has donated 1,000 oxygen concentrators, 10 ventilators, 10,000 N95 respirators, and 2,500 PPE kits to various government and private hospitals across the country.
Honeywell Hometown Solutions India Foundation (HHSIF), the philanthropic arm of Honeywell, a Fortune 100 company has been conferred the Mahatma Award 2021 for its humanitarian efforts during COVID-19, and in supporting various communities recover from the challenging times, the company said.
HHSIF won the award for supporting the Government, NGOs and industry partners in a number of critical areas as a part of its COVID-19 response.
“Since the start of the pandemic in 2020, Honeywell has been working closely with Government and civil society to deal with this humanitarian crisis,” said Ashish Gaikwad, President, Honeywell India, and Director, HHSIF. “We are honored to receive the Mahatma Award for our efforts in building healthcare capacities to manage COVID-19.” he added.
