GURUGRAM: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India felicitated 28 officials of Railway Protection Force (RPF) for their stupendous effort in protecting children from child abuse and other risks at Railway Stations in Delhi.
Honda 2 Wheelers India in collaboration with Railway Children India (RCI) under the programme Surakshit Bachpan (Safe Childhood) works to save and protect children who are alone and need support near and at Railway Stations of Delhi.
The project is further utilized in creating mass awareness on child protection issues at Railway Stations.
“From January 2017 to March 2018, Railway Children India (RCI) along with Railway Protection Force and Child Welfare Committee impacted lives of more than 600 children at Sarai Rohilla and Delhi Cantonment Railway Stations through their effective 24×7 outreach programme.”, Honda 2 Wheelers India informed.
It is estimated that every five minutes, a child arrives alone at a railway station in India who is further exposed to several risks and abuse.
