Liver awareness sessions were conducted via Mobile Health Van (MHV) across different villages in Bhilwara, Udaipur, and Chittorgarh
Udaipur (India CSR): On World Haemophilia Day and World Liver Day, Hindustan Zinc Limited, one of the world’s largest and India’s only integrated producers of zinc, lead, and silver, held multiple awareness and health programmes for employees and the residents of the areas surrounding the company’s mines. Under the purview of these campaigns, expert-driven education on haemophilia as well as its symptoms, prevention, and treatment was provided to the audience which included the people most susceptible to the disease. These programmes were organized around Hindustan Zinc’s operational areas in Kayad, Dariba, Debari, and Pantnagar.
More than 375 villagers benefited from these haemophilia health education programmes, including 150 from Dariba’s Chauthpura, Kabra, and Makhanpuria villages; 100 from Kayad’s Makarwali, Kayad (Bhutton’s pal), Bhopali’s Debari, Singhawat’s Wada; 100 from Rehta, Pataliya’s, and Pantnagar’s Vijaynagar.
To commemorate World Liver Day, the company conducted awareness sessions about liver diseases in Indra Ka Kheda, Parshurampura, and Nagri villages of Bhilwara, Udaipur, and Chittorgarh. These sessions, conducted via Hindustan Zinc’s Mobile Health Van (MHV), offered crucial information about the liver, its function, its importance, etc. Besides that, these awareness sessions also covered various aspects of liver diseases, including causes, prevention methods, and importance of vaccinations. A total of 90 villagers were educated as part of these educative sessions about the liver.
