UDAIPUR: 4 units of Hindustan Zinc, Rampura Agucha Mine, Rajpura Dariba Mine, Zawar Mines and Zinc Smelter Debari, were honored with 24th Bhamashah Award on June 28, 2018, at Birla Auditorium Jaipur, for its contribution in the field of Education during FY 2017-18.
The award was presented by the Assembly Speaker – Kailash Meghwal, State Education Minister – Prof. Vasudev Devnnani, Session Secretary – Naresh Pal Gangwal, Director Secondary Education – Nathmal Dedail and Director Primary Education Bikaner – Shyam Singh Rajpurohit.
Education officers and other esteemed guests were also present during the event. On behalf of Hindustan Zinc the awards were received by Dalapat Singh Chauhan and Ruchika Naresh Chawla from Rampura Agucha Mine, Colonel K.G.K. Choudhary and Abhay Gautam from Rajpura Dariba Mine, Aruna Cheeta and Nairuthi Sanghvi from Zawar Mines and Budhi Prakash Pushkarna and Zarnain Fatima from Zinc Smelter Debari.
The company under its Community Service Initiatives for Education has been providing additional classes of Maths, English and Science for subjects under its Shiksha Sambal program, coaching for IIT exams under Unchi Udaan program, organizing sponsorship programs, supporting students to get education from Ringus College, construction of Nand Ghars, aiding Khushi Anganwadi Centres, setting up infrastructures and safety devices for libraries and laboratories, providing books and study material for teachers and students, arranging workshops for teachers, organizing summer training camps for the students, to name a few.
