Gorakhpur: City of Knowledge
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Gorakhpur is being developed into a hub of higher education with a focus on becoming a “City of Knowledge.” Currently, three universities are operating in the district, with construction underway on a fourth. These institutions, including Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology, and Mahayogi Gorakhnath University, are working towards realizing this goal, the media reported.

Negotiations Ongoing for Operation of University, Possibility of Agency or State Government Involvement: The company is currently negotiating the details of the university’s operation and is considering the possibility of setting up an agency to run it on a no-profit-no-loss basis, or transferring operation to the state government.
