MUMBAI (India CSR Exclusive): Alkyl Amines Chemicals Limited, a leader in the chemical industry, has been contributing substantially to the community through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The company’s CSR Committee, consisting of Yogesh M. Kothari, Chairman and Managing Director, Kirat M. Patel, Executive Director, and Leja S. Hattiangadi, Independent Director, has overseen efforts to promote Environment Sustainability & Rural Development, Health/Women Empowerment, Education/Sports, and other key areas of societal concern.

The chemical leader showcased its commitment to societal growth by investing Rs. 5.11 crores in various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in the financial year 2021-22.

The company’s CSR Committee, led by Chairman Yogesh M. Kothari, has guided efforts to address key societal concerns, including Environment Sustainability, Rural Development, Health, Women Empowerment, and Education. During the COVID-19 crisis, Alkyl Amines has supported government measures with various relief projects.

The company has overspent by Rs. 0.17 lakhs, an amount to be credited in the financial year 2022-23.

Alkyl Amines Chemicals Limited is a leading manufacturer and supplier of amines, amine derivatives, and other specialty chemicals in India. The company is dedicated to creating a positive impact on society and the environment through its products, services, and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

CSR projects have been rigorously reviewed and approved by the Management and CSR Committee, ensuring the effective application of the funds.

Role of CSR Committee

Alkyl Amines’ CSR policy has been formulated and approved by the CSR Committee and the Board with a focus on improving health, education, and environmental sustainability. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Alkyl Amines Chemicals has taken up various relief projects to support Central and State Government measures in preventing and containing the spread of the virus.

No unspent amount towards CSR

For the financial year 2021-22, Alkyl Amines has reported no unspent amount towards CSR, thereby fully complying with the Companies Act, 2013. In the current year, the company has overspent by Rs. 0.17 lakhs on CSR activities, an amount that will be credited in the financial year 2022-23. The company also included an amount of Rs. 0.94 lakhs overspent in the financial year 2020-21 in the current year’s expenditure.

The company’s efforts stand as a testament to its commitment to societal growth and development, and it continues to pave the way for responsible corporate citizenship.

It is a global supplier and leader in aliphatic amine, amine derivative and specialty amines, which are organic compounds derived from ammonia and used in various industries. AACL serves a wide range of industries such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, water treatment, rubber chemicals, petrochemicals, foundry chemicals, surfactants, electronics and nutrition. AACL has a dedicated research and development center that works closely with customers to develop products for their requirements and cater to their specific needs on quality, specifications and supply chain. AACL has three production plants in India and exports its products to over 50 countries.
