Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL), the flagship entity of Adani Group, As per Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) committee has been formed by the Company. During the year, the Company was required to spend Rs. 8.68 crore as per the provisions of Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013. During the year the Group has contributed Rs. 8.65 crore as donations to various trusts as a part of CSR expenditure and has spent Rs. 1.32 crore for other charitable activities.
The CSR activities of the Company are generally carried out through charitable organisations set up by the Group, where funds are allocated from the Company. These organisations carry out the CSR activities as specified in Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013 on behalf of the Company. During the year, the Company has contributed Rs. 8.21 crore to these organisations and has spent Rs. 0.80 crore on other charitable activities, the company said.
Rs. 100 Cr contribution to PM Cares Fund
The ongoing COVID-19 crisis calls for the entire nation to fight as one collective force, the Adani Group as a whole has contributed Rs. 100 crore to the PM Cares Fund in this hour of India’s battle against COVID-19. Adani Group will further contribute additional resources to support the Governments and fellow citizen in these testing times. Considering this humble initiatives of the group, your Company has made contribution of Rs 15 crore to the PM Cares Fund for India’s fight against COVID-19, the company’s annual report FY 2019-20 said.
