Kanoi Village, Jaisalmer District, Rajasthan: Viviid Emissions Reductions Universal Private Limited over the last two decades has earned an irreproachable reputation as a Globally Credible Carbon Management Firm servicing Renewable Energy Clients upstream, and Climate Action Oriented Carbon Credit Buyers downstream alike.
The Thought behind the Contribution
Firmly believing that Sustainability can only be achieved when Honest Concern for People matches pace with equally Honest Concern for Planet, the Organization of late has extended a one-time grant to CITTA Education Foundation India for procuring 2 X 10KW/O/P Solar Off-Grid System consisting of 100 Ah 48v Solar Batteries and a Solar Hybrid Invertor for the latter’s Rajkumari Ratnavati Girls’ School in Kanoi Village of Jaisalmer. This school is an architectural marvel located in the travails of Thar Desert in Jaisalmer spreading the light of wisdom and knowledge among girls from below-poverty-line families without any cost. The Objective of CITTA Education Foundation India behind instituting this school has been to design and implement an inclusive curriculum for the girls focussing on digital literacy, social-emotional cum ethical learning, exposure to art forms, and scholastic development something that is echoed by Viviid Emissions Reductions Universal Private Limited as well.

The Problem Statement
The harsh and remote arid region gets barely 4-6 hours of electricity during summers, 8- 10 hours during the monsoon and around 12-14 hours of electricity during winters with superlatively unpredictable power cuts. While the school building has been designed sustainably to ensure adequate natural lighting and optimal room temperature during the day, poor and irregular availability of electricity severely affects the water coolers, washroom pumps, the proposed computer labs and other equipment for boosting pedagogical efficiency.
Currently the installed 15kW Solar Panel is connected to the Grid to generate power and supply the excess electricity to the grid, with an objective of using clean energy, reducing carbon emissions and minimizing the electricity bill. However, in case of a grid failure, the system is incapable of supplying power to the School, which defeats the core purpose of ensuring uninterrupted electricity during school hours adversely affecting the students.
Collective Responsibility
In an official statement issued by Viviid Emissions Reductions Universal Private Limited, the Organization’s CEO Mr. Puneet Katyal said, “We feel humbled to support this cause that will positively impact girls’ education in Sam Block of Jaisalmer District. Our team has been in touch with His Highness Maharawal of Jaisalmer Chaitanya Raj Singh Ji (Director of CITTA Education Foundation India) and his team to carefully understand the need-gap at Rajkumari Ratnavati Girls’s School. We owe responsibility towards the communities residing in and around Kanoi village as the school is surrounded by clean/renewable energy projects belonging to our esteemed clients.

It is our collective endeavour to promote social well-being in the region. I am glad that hereafter, there wouldn’t be any power outages at the school and therefore the girls will have unhindered access to the proposed computer centre and digital library being facilitated by CITTA Education Foundation India which will eventually enhance their learning outcomes. Further, uninterrupted electricity at the school precinct will ensure continuous filtered refrigerated drinking water for the students and seamless hygienic sanitation facilities in the washrooms. We are told by CITTA Education Foundation India that the power back-up will also cater to women’s economic development activities within the premises which again resonates with our social thematic ideology of women empowerment.”
