Sachin Haritash, Director of Chetak Foundation, said, “We are delighted to have been acknowledged and awarded the “Health Focussed NGO of the Year Award by IHW for our Health and Road Safety (Swasthya and Zindagi Plus) interventions. We set up the Foundation as a tribute to our father, Mr Jai Karan Sharma, Founder of Chetak Group, to carry his legacy forward. He believed in improving the quality of life and underprivileged and in inclusive growth. The credit for the recognition goes to the entire Foundation team, which has been working tirelessly towards a common goal of making a difference in the lives of the less privileged. We value the Award as the same was decided by a strong jury, having competed against some of the top names in the social domain.”

Salman Khurshid – Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India and Former Minister for Corporate Affairs, Government of India, headed the highly credible jury that also comprised Ms Stuti Kacker – Former Secretary, Department of Disability Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, Mr Arun Kumar Sinha, Former Additional Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India and Ms Meenakshi Gupta – Co-Founder, Goonj, among others.
