New Delhi: Chetak Foundation, the CSR Arm of Chetak Logistics, the leader in automobile logistics, has been recognised and bestowed with the “Health Focused NGO of the Year Award 2023” Instituted by Integrated Health and Wellbeing Council (IHW). The Award was received by Sachin JKS haritasH and Arun Arora, Directors, Chetak Foundation, from Ms Kiran Bedi, former Lt. Governor of Puducherry, at the CSR Health Impact Summit and 7th CSR Health Impact Awards attended by a battery of Social Leaders, Thought Leaders, Organisations, Institutes, NGOs and individuals in a grand ceremony here, today.
The prestigious Award acknowledged the exemplary work carried out by the Chetak Foundation in healthcare, which also led to improved road safety for drivers and the public. The Foundation collaborated with organisations like VisionSpring, Visual Eyez, and Dr Veena Chaudhary Foundation to organise eye check-up camps for thousands of underprivileged truck and commercial drivers and provided them with free spectacles. The Foundation worked with GMR, Honda 2-Wheelers, SML Isuzu, JBM, JCB and CRPF.

We set up the Foundation as a tribute to our father, Mr Jai Karan Sharma, Founder of Chetak Group, to carry his legacy forward. He believed in improving the quality of life and underprivileged and in inclusive growth. The credit for the recognition goes to the entire Foundation team, which has been working tirelessly towards a common goal of making a difference in the lives of the less privileged. We value the Award as the same was decided by a strong jury, having competed against some of the top names in the social domain.”
Salman Khurshid – Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India and Former Minister for Corporate Affairs, Government of India, headed the highly credible jury that also comprised Ms Stuti Kacker – Former Secretary, Department of Disability Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, Mr Arun Kumar Sinha, Former Additional Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India and Ms Meenakshi Gupta – Co-Founder, Goonj, among others.

Some of the other prominent winners of the awards in different categories included Maersk, ICICI, SBI Foundation, Sandvik, Apollo Tyres, NTPC, Hindustan Petroleum, Cairn Oil and Gas Vedanta, SUN Pharma, Grasim Industry, GlaxoSmithKline, JSPL and DLF Foundation, among others.
