GMR Varalakshmi Foundation and Chetak Foundation join forces to maximize their impact and achieve shared goals
NEW DELHI: On January 24, 2023, Chetak Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of Chetak Logistics, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GMR Varalakshmi Foundation to collaborate in the areas of health, road safety, and skill development. The MoU was signed by the head and director of Chetak Foundation, Arun Arora, and the director of GMR Varalakshmi Foundation, Avanish Kumar, in the presence of the director of Chetak Logistics, Sachin Haritash, and teams from both foundations.
Under the partnership, the organizations plan to undertake activities related to the goals of both institutions. These activities include road safety awareness programs, general health check-ups, and eye check-up camps for driver communities at GMR Highways airports and other locations. Additionally, the partners will collaborate on logistics courses and short-term skill training programs for underprivileged unemployed youth at vocational training centers run by GMRVF.
Dr. Ashwani Lohani, CEO of GMRVF, expressed excitement about the partnership, saying, “We are delighted to take it to the next level as we sign between GMR Varalakshmi Foundation and Chetak Foundation to build upon our mutual strength and synergize our noble efforts.” Mr. Sachin JKS Haritash, Director of Chetak Group, also expressed excitement about the collaboration, saying, “We hope this alliance will help the less privileged get a better quality of life.”
Chetak Foundation has several specific initiatives to enhance the beneficiaries’ experience, including Oxygen Plus (an environment initiative), Swasthaya Plus (a health initiative), Shikha Plus (an education initiative), and Zindagi Plus (a road safety initiative). In addition to GMRVF, Chetak Foundation has also partnered with several organizations, including Delhi Skill & Entrepreneur University, VisionSpring, Sir Ganga Ram, Max & Fortis Hospitals, Delhi Metro, IOCL, Honda Motors, Haryana Government, and CRPF for its health, nutrition, environment, and road safety projects.
