Chandra Babu Naidu is a veteran Indian politician who served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 2014 to 2019. He is the current president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Chandra Babu Naidu is currently in trouble due to a number of corruption allegations against him. The outcome of the cases against him will have a major impact on his political future.

Here are 7 Must Know Facts:

1. AP Skill Development Corporation Scam

Very recently, Naidu was arrested by the Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (CID) in connection with the alleged Rs. 371 crore scam in the AP Skill Development Corporation. The CID alleged that Naidu was the principal conspirator in the scam.

2. Amaravati Land Scam

Naidu is also facing allegations of corruption in the development of the new capital city of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati. The allegations include insider trading and irregularities in land acquisition.

3. Polavaram Irrigation Project Scam

Naidu is also accused of corruption in the Polavaram Irrigation Project, one of the largest irrigation projects in India. The allegations include inflated costs and irregularities in the awarding of contracts.

4. Other Corruption Allegations

Naidu is also facing allegations of corruption in other cases, such as the purchase of helicopters for the Andhra Pradesh government and the awarding of contracts for public works projects.

5. Political Vendetta

Naidu has alleged that the corruption allegations against him are politically motivated. He has accused the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) of using the CBI and other agencies to target him.

6. Impact on Political Career

The corruption allegations against Naidu have had a negative impact on his political career. He lost the 2019 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections to the YSRCP. The TDP is also facing a leadership crisis due to Naidu’s legal troubles.

7. Future Outlook

Naidu is currently facing trial in the AP Skill Development Corporation scam case. The outcome of this case will have a major impact on his political future. If he is convicted, he could face a long prison sentence.

Important Facts

In addition to the seven facts mentioned above, here are some other important points about Chandra Babu Naidu’s legal troubles:

  • Naidu has been granted bail in all of the cases against him. However, he is still facing trial in the AP Skill Development Corporation scam case.
  • The YSRCP government has been accused of using the CBI and other agencies to target Naidu. However, the CBI has denied these allegations.
  • Naidu’s legal troubles have had a negative impact on the TDP’s political fortunes. The party is currently facing a leadership crisis and is struggling to regain its popularity. It is important to note that Naidu has not been convicted of any crime.
