MUMBAI: B V Chinai Charitable Trust (BVC Foundation), a philanthropy arm of BVC Ventures along with Wadhwa Group, Group Satellite, and The Mosaic organised ‘The DOO Initiative’ (Donate to Orphanages and Old age homes Initiative). In the 5thyear of this donation drive, the organization collected & donated books & stationery kits along with clothes to children in orphanages all over India.
Donors from over 30 cities of India donated clothes, stationery and books. Through the DOO initiative, BVC Foundation collected over 30,000 books, 2,70,000 pieces of stationery and over 3 tonnes of clothes, which would be donated to 96 orphanages and 10 old age homes in over 20 cities across India.
Uday Chinai, Chairman, BVC Foundation, said, “Through the DOO initiative, we aim to reach out to the underprivileged kids who will be provided with books & stationery materials for their education during the start of this academic year. We are grateful to all the NGOs, the corporate organizations and all the people who donated the items for supporting the cause and being a part of the initiative.”
All BVC companies and branches across India participate to make a larger sustainable difference to society. This pan India activity involves the distribution of the collected items all over India. To ensure the items reach the right places, at the right time, BVC Foundation collaborates with over 100 NGOs from across India.
