Bank of Baroda has contributed Rs 1.20 crore to the Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for flood relief and rehabilitation.
NEW DELHI (India CSR): Bank of Baroda, India’s International Bank, has contributed Rs 1.20 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Assam to support relief and rehabilitation efforts for communities affected by the recent floods in the state. The contribution underscores the Bank’s longstanding commitment to standing by communities during times of crisis and supporting nation-building initiatives.
The cheque was presented to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, at the Chief Minister’s Office in Guwahati on 30 July 2026 by Nayak Shiba Pada, General Manager & Zonal Head, Northeastern States Zone, Bank of Baroda. The occasion was also attended by Hon’ble MLA Naba Doley, Biswajit Swain, Deputy General Manager (Compliance & Assurance) and Sandeep Kumar, Deputy General Manager (Business Development), Northeastern States Zone.
Speaking on the initiative, Nayak Shiba Pada, General Manager & Zonal Head, Northeastern States Zone, Bank of Baroda, said, “At Bank of Baroda, we believe that our responsibility extends beyond banking.
