Staff Selection Commission is expected to recruit more than 70 thousand candidates through various examinations like SSC CGL, SSC CHSL, SSC MTS, SSC GD and others in 2022-23. Along with that, the Commission is tentatively going to hire about 28,000 candidates for Ministry of Home Affairs and 6,000 for Delhi Police. Vacancy breakdowns for some of the exams are given below.

SSC GD Exam
The application process for SSC GD 2023 is currently live. The candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria can check the details and fill the application form. The important dates of recruitment are the following.
- Release of Official Notification- October 27, 2022
- Beginning of Application- October 27, 2022
- End of Application- November 30, 2022
- SSC GD Exam Date- January 2023
In order to be eligible for the exam, the candidates must be between the age of 18-23 years. They must have passed at least their class 10 or Matriculation. Some age relaxations are provided to reserved category candidates but the educational requirements remain the same for all. A total of 24,369 vacancies have been announced for this cycle of recruitment.
SSC MTS Exam
The official notification for SSC MTS exam 2023 will be out on January 25, 2023. It will contain all the important details about the number of vacancies, exam dates, and others. However, about 7000 vacancies are expected to be announced this year seeing the 7301 vacancies of 2022. The important dates for the upcoming recruitment cycle of SSC MTS are given here.

SSC CGL Exam
The Tier 1 exam for SSC CGL 2022 is going to be held from December 01-13, 2022. The candidates who have applied for the exam can expect their admit cards about a week before the exam. SSC CGL selection process has been changed from this year. It includes only two tiers now instead of four. Even though the skill tests have been included in the Tier 2, descriptive paper has been removed from the pattern completely.Â
Even though the final vacancy for this recruitment cycle has not been announced, the official notification says that there will be approx 20,000 vacancies. In comparison to previous few years, this is a great hike and the candidates are hopeful about their selections.

SSC CHSL Exam
SSC CHSL notification for 2022-23 is going to be issued on December 06, 2022. It was earlier scheduled to be released on November 05 but has been postponed. The dates for the application and exams have not been announced and are expected to be declared in the notification itself. It is expected that the Commission will fill about 4000 vacancies through this recruitment drive. The vacancies for previous years are mentioned here.
