BARBIL: Devika Pillai , a student of Class VI, Jindal School, Soyabali, Barbil has brought laurels to school winning 3rd prize at National level Story Writing Competition organized by Scholastic India Private Limited. The Scholastic India, a prestigious publishing house publishes volumes of books on Children. The publishing house organized a National Level Story Writing Competition among the school students to give them exposure to express their imaginative skills through their writings.
Devika received this prestigious award from the organizers at Bengaluru on 28th November, 2014 in Scholastic Award Ceremony. Her story was highly appreciated by the jury and the same was enacted on the stage on the occasion.
Devika is the daughter of Mr. Suresh Kumar E.R , Head Master and Mrs Sreelekha Pillai, Mathematics teacher of Jindal school, Barbil. She expressed her heartfelt thanks to G.Rama Kishore, Principal, Dr.Samir Kumar Kanungo, Academic Coordinator, Mrs Purnima Sinha, English Teacher and Mr. Gokulananda Dash, Librarian of Jindal School for their tremendous support and encouragement. The management and the school fraternity expressed their deep pleasure on her success.
