BHUBANESWAR: As a part of its CSR activities, Aditya Birla Group’s Aditya Aluminium Company has distributed more than 70 sewing machines to the women folk the peripheral villages recently in the Lapanga block of Sambalpur district.
Very recently sewing machines have been distributed to the 30 women of the nearby Khatiapali village. The objective of the company behind this initiative is to make the women folk of the region self-sufficient and empowered. In the sewing machine distribution programme the members of the Aditya Aditi Club ( the women club of Aditya Aluminium) joined and encouraged the women to take the advantage of the company’s CSR programme.
The Head of Aditya Aditi Club, Mamata Mishra appealed the womenfolk of the region to come forward and take active part in the company’s CSR programmes and become self-sufficient and empowered. If this programme would be taken up in true spirit by each women folk of the region, then it will certainly bring a change in their financial condition, Mrs Mishra added.
Speaking on this, Lopa Mishra, the Head of CSR team of Aditya Aluminium said that, by this initiative of the company, the women of the region will get self-employed.She also said that in the next four days the sewing machines will be distributed to the women of Pandoloi and Nuapalii village who have completed their training programme. Besides this the Company has also taken various women empowerment initiatives like imparting training on Mixture preparation and Phenyl making, she added.
Among others the members of the Company’s Women Club Aditya Aditi, Anjana Guru, Bharati Pandey, Sumita Mishra, Sonia Chug, MrsRanu Gupta were present and encouraged the women folk.On this distribution ceremony, among others Manoranjan Behera, ArabindTeewari, ManasRoutraywere present. This ceremony was organized and well-coordinated by the SFA NGO.
