UDUPI: As part of their corporate social responsibility initiative, Udupi Power Corporation Ltd., in association with Adani Foundation, CSR wing of Adani Group, distributed education kits worth Rs. 10.35 lakhs to 1,294 students in 14 schools of the district. The kits were distributed under the Education Programme of CSR activity of Adani.
They were distributed by Kishore Alva, executive director, Adani UPCL. Mr. Alva explained the development activities Adani Foundation is executing under CSR programmes and extended invitation to teaching faculty and students to visit UPCL plant under UDAAN programme.
During the education kits’ distribution at Government Primary School in Balkunje, Raghunath, Block Physical Instructor from the Education Department, thanked Adani UPCL for their yeomen service in the field of education.
He also appealed UPCL to extend this facility to other government schools. At KPSK Memorial School, headmaster Nagabhooshan Rao, told that UPCL is distributing education kits every year and as a result, the strength of the students in their school is increasing.
Girish Navada, assistant general manager, Ravi Jere, manager from UPCL, and Sukesh Suvarna, Vineet Anchan and Anudeep Poojary from Adani Foundation were present.
