Abhinav Banthia and Arun Misra have been elected as Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Rajasthan for the year 2023 -24.Â
Abhinav Banthia is Managing Director of Manu Yantralaya Pvt. Ltd. In 2003 Mr Banthia after completing his engineering joined his family-owned company Manu Yantralaya. Which primarily supplies bearing and automotive components to customer in India & around the world in countries like Germany, Portugal, Italy, Slovakia, Bulgaria, China, Argentina, Indonesia, Vietnam, USA, UK, South Korea, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Malaysia etc. There are 4 manufacturing plants under this company located in Jaipur.Â
He undertook a 3-month industrial training in Japan in 2005. In 2012 he formed a Japanese joint venture company and have diversified into plastic components for automotive industry. Manu Yantralaya have also been a ‘Zero-Dimensional Defect Supplier’ to all their customers for last 15 years.
Abhinav Banthia has been the President of Young Indians Jaipur Chapter of CII in the year 2015. He is a passionate entrepreneur who also is an active investor in start-ups in the field of technology, sports and health & wellbeing. He is also Trustee of Hira Foundation an organization dedicated of to cure and support of people having hearing impairment.Â
Arun Misra is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Zinc Business, Vedanta and has been leading Hindustan Zinc, the world’s second largest integrated producer of Zinc and 6th largest Silver producer since August 1, 2020. Following this in June 2022, Mr Misra has taken on additional responsibility of managing the operations & growth of Vedanta Zinc International which have their mines and concentrator in South Africa.Â
Misra is the 1st ever Indian Chairperson of the International Zinc Association. Under his able leadership Hindustan Zinc has retained its 1st position in Asia-Pacific for the fourth consecutive year and globally 3rd in S&P Global Corporate Responsibility Assessment in 2022 amongst Mining & Metal companies.Â
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur, Mr. Misra took a Diploma in Mining and Beneficiation from the University of New South Wales Sydney, and another Diploma in General Management from CEDEP, France.
He is passionate about singing, playing golf, and football.
