The Maharashtra CSR Summit is themed around ‘Leveraging CSR to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Maharashtra” and will be held on July 27, 2022, in Mumbai at Yashwantrao Chavan Pratisthan Auditorium (Near Mantralaya), Nariman Point.
Abhay Kantak, the Director – Urban at CRISIL Risk and Infrastructure Solutions Limited is invited to speak at Maharashtra CSR Summit.
He has been involved in advising governments, multilateral and bilateral agencies in South Asia, South East Asia and Africa in enabling sustainable water supply and sanitation systems. His expertise is in utility regulation and reforms, performance and service level improvement planning and benchmarking and tariff fixation and enabling private sector participation.
He was part of the team that conceptualized the performance benchmarking of urban water supply and sanitation utilities and which eventually emerged as the Service Level Benchmarking framework for water supply, sewerage, solid waste management and storm-water drainage services.
Abhay has advised cities in mobilizing finance through conventional and non-conventional means for funding urban infrastructure projects including water supply and sanitation projects.
He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics followed by a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research. After working for 4 years as an Equity Research Analyst with Motilal Oswal Securities Limited, he pursued a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs from The University of Texas at Austin, USA. Following which he joined the Urban Infrastructure Advisory practice of CRISIL in July 2005.
