NEW DELHI: Vistara, India’s finest full service carrier, brought exuberant smiles to the faces of 15 children, on Saturday, June 17, as it sponsored BOM-DEL round trip and a memorable day-long event for them. The children are residents of the Mumbai-based NGO, Happy Feet Home, India’s first hospice for children with life limiting illnesses.
For the children of Happy Feet Home, aged between 11 and 19 years, the joy of flying turned into an experience of a lifetime when they boarded an airplane for the first time in Mumbai. Vistara employee volunteers nominated themselves by the dozens, to welcome the children at the Delhi airport and spend the entire day with them. The children were taken to the Kingdom of Dreams in Gurgaon where lasting bonds were built over food, games, culture and the theatre show ‘Beyond Bollywood’ that left the children mesmerized.
This is the fifth time in two years that Vistara has helped realise the dream of flying for a group of less-privileged children. Vistara has always been at the forefront of caring for the community, especially towards education and wellbeing of children, the future of the country.
