HYDERABAD: Satish Kumar Vuppalapati, Managing Director of Prithvi Information Solutions Ltd, a global IT and Telecom service provider, won the Outstanding Entrepreneur Award at the 5th Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award 2011 held recently at the Taj Palace , New Delhi.
Mr. Vuppalapati received the prestigious award from Justice Markandey Katju, Chairman – Press Council of India & William NG, President – Enterprise Asia. This award is given to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding entrepreneurial attributes and who serve as role models for emerging entrepreneurs. These individuals continue to provide the vision and direction to their companies.
The award is decided by a diverse panel of independent, impartial and seasoned individuals from various backgrounds to execute the judging process. Enterprise Asia seeks to work with these market-driven, customer-centric business, academic, and political leaders in processing the nomination and select the industry’s best. Other respective categories were Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Special Achievement Award, Most Promising Entrepreneurship Award, etc.
Enterprise Award was started in 2006 by few individuals for promoting entrepreneurship. Since its launch in 2007, the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA) has expanded its presence to 16 countries, further sealing its position as Asia Pacific’s most prestigious awards for entrepreneurship. Part of our mission is also to promote and forge greater entrepreneurial co-operation in Asia. In line with this, our objective is to utilize the APEA award program and offer all local and international participants a platform which encourages dialogue, knowledge sharing and networking.
