As people around the world have increasingly begun to get exposed to the impacts of climate crisis, the entities with maximum impact to stop this change are the corporates. Corporations produce just about everything we buy, use, and throw away and play an outsized role in driving global climate change. The current climate scenario is alarming.

Warming of climate prompted by humans has risen since pre-industrial levels and the related global greenhouse gas emission pathways are majorly affected. Corporates closely contribute to global climate impact, but what matters more is that they reduce their contribution drastically.

Just reducing CO2 emissions will not be enough; there is a need to take measures that are furthermore effective to serve the need of environment. Globally, large size commercial or business set up comprise to more than 40 % of global energy consumption India as a country is working enthusiastically and establishing its own space to adopt a sustainable approach.

There is visible progress in the Indian corporate culture as the new generation workforce vouch for a sustainable workplace. The culture is evolving due to increased demand of a well-maintained and eco-friendly environment.

Integrated Facility Management (IFM) as a sector is working towards creating a greener work atmosphere which does not only contribute to the productivity but also helps in building a motivated workforce. This pushes corporates to outsource facility services to a competent IFM provider.

Nowadays, IFM leaders are involved from a very initial stage for designing and planning of buildings so that the infrastructure can be managed efficiently after completion and can be more functional. Corporates wish to perform sustainably because of their sense of responsibility towards functional and environmental cause and effect caused by them.

They are also accountable towards society and implement simple, cost-effective yet smart methods for reducing all types of consumption for their everyday work life.

Currently, Embassy Services meticulously manage a portfolio of 150 corporates from the international and domestic market, where they provide services across all verticals of real estate. The company manages commercial, residential, business and industrial parks across the country. The team works closely with the clients to implement solutions to create a significant impact in overall reduction of energy, water and other resources.

The rising awareness is clear as the company earned vigorous business growth in managing facilities from 10 million sq. ft. in 2013 to over 70 million sq. ft. across India.

As a part of the sustainable approach practiced by Embassy Services produces green energy of up to 155.435 million KWH in FY 18-19, which is 41% of total consumption.  Higher concentrations of CO2 are likely to have profound direct effects on the growth, physiology, and chemistry of plants, independent of any effects on climate. Therefore cutting down the effects of climate change is critical. The company produced Green energy equal to removing 1,28,078 tons of CO2, this has a direct contribution towards saving energy need of 162 Indian villages for a period of 1 year.  It is also

at par with taking 27,193 cars off road for a year and the burning of 47,626 kl diesel. Additionally, the carbon that has been seized in this process is equal to planting of 21, 17,797 tree seedlings for 10 years. ESPL also recycles 1,541,940 KL water per year.

By recycling and effectively using 1,541,940 KL water the motive is to avoid pumping out stress water from ground. The water that is recycled by Embassy Services as their effective water management initiative could supplement 321 villages’ water need for a period of one year. Embassy parks also produce 198 ton of manure out of OWC & vermicomposting which can support 50 acres of farming land & produce 350 tons of paddy.

Embassy believes in green building and green infrastructures. All the parks managed by Embassy Services are certified for Green campus ranging from Gold to Platinum. Most of the buildings have LEED-certification with all the operations certified for international framework like ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 from British Safety Council.

We are committed to the cause and we support our clients. It is a constant effort to build a greener and more sustainable working environment in properties and businesses managed by us. A united movement towards the future will lead to huge changes in the corporate landscape. Therefore, our end-goal is to safeguard the premises and ensure that they function optimally through a sustainable approach.
