NEW DELHI: The book entitled Demonstrating Responsible Business authored by Dr Vineeta Dutta Roy, Associate Professor and Lead CSR at Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) has been launched during the GCNI 2nd Sustainable Development Goals Summit on the theme Leveraging CSR for SDGs held on 12th December 2018 at The Sahara Star, Mumbai.
The book was launched by Dr R Mashelkar, former Director General of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research in presence of Vaishali Sinha, Chief Sustainability, CSR and Communications Officer, ReNew Power Ltd, Dr H Chaturvedi, Director, BIMTECH, Kamal Singh, Executive Director, GCNI, Dr. Aditi Halder, Director, Global Reporting Initiative, Santosh Jayaram, Partner & Head, Sustainability & CSR, KPMG India and Uddesh Kohli, Senior Advisor, UNGC.
It recounts Dr Roy’s field experiences of CSR and Sustainability projects of some of India’s best and leading companies. The Book is wholesome with case studies scaffolded by principles of sustainable and inclusive development, human rights and CSR in the country and theory that allows readers to understand these principles most objectively.
