BHUBANESWAR: GMR Kamalanga Energy Limited (GKEL) in association with Odisha Blood Bank, Dhenkanal, organised a voluntary blood donation camp at its plant site hospital, on December 21, 2018. As many as 155 persons including employees of GKEL and its associate partners donated the blood on the occasion.
Ramesh R Pai, Chief Operating Officer (COO), GKEL inaugurated the camp. Inaugurating the camp, Shri Pai said, “To save a life is a noble venture and doing so through blood donation is a priceless gift to the person whose life has been saved.” He appreciated employees’ enthusiasm to save lives by donating blood. He also donated the blood in the camp.
Enthusiastic participants including GKEL employees, Raxa Security Services, RAXA Training Academy, GMR Energy Development Centre, GMR Varalakshmi Foundation (GMRVF) and operating agencies participated in the noble cause. A team of medicos from District Blood Bank, Dhenkanal collected the blood and distributed certificates to the donors.
