NEW DELHI: Pursuing the mission to make Right to Water a reality for Indian population, JanaJal, a dedicated water services company, inaugurated its Water ATM at Outer Circle, Connaught Place, behind Lady Hardinge Medical College Gate No-1 on Tuesday, 4th of September.
The ATM was inaugurated by BJP leader and activist, Shazia Ilmi. JanaJal has collaborated with NDMC to install 75 Water ATMs in the heart of the capital.
Shazia Ilmi tasted the water herself and appreciated the multifold advantages of the ATM. She said “Water ATMs have emerged as the most versatile solution availability and accessibility of potable water. Every 30 seconds, we lose a life to water-borne diseases. It is commendable that such decentralized water treatment systems provide chilled safe water 24X7 at an affordable cost.”
“This is an all-win situation. Reduction in plastic pollution and usage, as a result of a decrease in inexpensive plastic water bottles, is much the need of the hour. Water doesn’t identify with politics or castes nor do waterborne diseases. It’s not the responsibility of any particular party; it’s the responsibility of people. JanaJal stands for ‘Water for people’ and I feel honored to be a part of such a significant project being implemented for the benefit of the common man.”, further added.
Parag Agarwal, Founder, and CMD of JanaJal, while commenting on the technology and use of the ATM, said “The ICT innovation developed by the company is the foundation of overall efficiency. The main controller controls all the dispensers operating in tandem with various types of input data and conducts edge based analysis while communicating with a central cloud-based server. This enables transmission of data through GPRS or WiFi connectivity that is suitably processed and appears on the central dashboard. JanaJal’s touchscreen ATMs are easy to use and provide the ultimate user experience. Using sophisticated technology, we aim to bridge the gap between demand and supply of clean drinking water and make water available, affordable and accessible for masses.”
