WEST BOKARO: The fun-filled fortnight long ‘Summer Camp 2018’ by the Sports Department of Tata Steel’s West Bokaro Division concluded on Friday at Sports Complex, West Bokaro.

The purpose of the camp was to teach students about various techniques of eight different sports including Athletics, Football, Handball, Cricket, Volleyball, Archery, Table Tennis and Fencing. More than 600 children from in and around West Bokaro actively took part in this camp to make it a huge success. Apart from this, lifestyle management and yoga classes were also organised for the children during the camp.

During the summer camp, the trainers not only briefed the students about various exercises but also taught about basic food habits and also engrained the spirit of sportsmanship in them.

During the camp, the students were put under the supervision of sports experts who educated the children about the nuances of various games. All the children who participated benefited immensely from this camp and were happy to familiarise themselves on the rules and regulations of certain games.

On the occasion, the dignitaries felicitated the coaches and appreciated their contribution to make the camp a big success.

The closing ceremony at the Sports Complex of West Bokaro was attended by Praveen Sinha, Chief, Human resources Management, West Bokaro as Chief Guest along with Mohan Mahto, President, Rastriya Mazdoor Sangh (RCMS), Col Bhawani Singh Nirwan, Head, Stakeholder Management, West Bokaro, Munna Viswakarma, Assistant Secretary, RCMS, Tariq Anwar, Assistant Secretary, RCMS and Irsad Alam, Assistant Secretary, RCMS.
