NEW DELHI: Hindustan Powerprojects Pvt. Ltd. (HPPPL) CSR and Moserbaer trust jointly organized a program SANGAM at Excellence school mini stadium on 21st of December 2017 evening.
SANGAM has been organized by the organization from 2011 however from last year this event has been organized at Jaithari, Anuppur in Madhya Pradesh.
This event actually highlights the stakeholder engagement as an approach of the organization’s CSR and is organized as the culmination of CSR month of year 2017, which started this year on 1st of December 2017. The theme of the CSR month was Being Santa which implies the rewards of giving.
The major highlights of the CSR month were felicitations to winners in athletics meet (100m race, 200m race, 200m relay race, high jump, long jump and shot put in boys and girls categories), Kho-Kho (girls), Talent hunt program (Primary, middle and high school level in different arts like Painting, demonstration of science models, best out of waste, diya decoration etc.) and Anuppur open football tournament.
Winners were handed over attractive prizes, trophies with certificates of excellence by different guests present in the event. In football the winner and runner up team got cash prize of Rs. 11000 and 6000 respectively.
Some of the guests were R.R. Singh (Deputy Director, Nehru Yuva Kendra, V.K. Reddy (Anuppur Thermal Advisor), Ranu Kulshrestha (group head CSR), B.D. Singh (SDM Jaithari), Ramesh Kol (Tehsildar Jaithari), R.P. Srivastava (CM&HO Anuppur) etc.

“This year our CSR gamut has increased by devoting whole month as a CSR month which involve talent hunts, sporting events, farmer engagements, health melas and many more and to have a comprehensive connect with the community, the yearly ongoing stakeholder engagement event Sangam was celebrated on the district ground rather than at the plant premises”, added Kulshrestha.
The culminating program was laced with stage performances by organization’s beneficiaries and staff. Mime was performed on the theme of negative impact of alcohol consumption in a family and impressed every one present in the program. Couple of performances based on local art like LiLy Ghoda performance and ektara instrument playing by a blind old person also mesmerized the audience. Over all around 400-500 people enjoyed the program and 1000 farmers participated.
