The CSR domain has been witnessing various innovative projects in different areas of education, health and other areas. In modern times the importance of skill development and entrepreneurship is growing at an exponential rate. More and more corporate entities are expressing their intent and have started working in the area of skill development and entrepreneurship.
The corporate entities are exploring new vistas of excellence in different states of India. It is important to understand the global, regional and local challenges and customise the programs accordingly. It is very important to understand that the economy can be made globally competitive by enriching the quality of knowledge, skills and competencies of the people of the economy. The corporate sector can play a very important role in understanding the knowledge, skills and competencies’ gap in the nearby areas.
I welcome the trend of corporate sector opening universities, institutions, skill development centres, training centres and various other institutions to impart knowledge, skills and competencies to prepare the new generation of talent. The ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship is taking bold initiatives under the dynamic leadership of the young and vibrant Minister Mr. Rajeev Pratap Rudy. The National skill development Corporation has also been taking various innovative steps and measures to offer valuable skill development programmes to the various stakeholders of the society in India.
It is the right time to understand the fact that we have to come together to join hands to impart world-class skill development and training facilities to our citizens to make the economy globally competitive. This requires the concerted efforts of central government, different ministries, corporate sector, state government, institutions of national importance, universities, higher educational institutions, colleges, schools, teachers, trainers, employees of corporate world to think about innovation, collaboration for imparting skill development and training programs for inclusive growth of the economy.
