NEW DELHI: The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), government of Rajasthan and Cairn India on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to upgrade government ITI at Barmer and Balotra.
Rajasthan’s Higher Education Minister Kalicharan Sarraf, Principle Secretary Rajat Mishra, Director of Technical Education A K Anand, Manoj Agarwal- Head Stakeholder Relation- Cairn India, Ms Ritu Jhingon- GM CSR Cairn India and Charu Malhotra of IL&FS were present on this occasion.
MOU therefore takes the opportunity presented through the guidelines referred to above to realize IL&FS’s plans, Cairn’s and DTE’s objectives.
The duration of MoU will be minimum of Two years from the date of expedition & can be extended/ terminated by mutual consent of Cairn lndia Ltd, lTI, DTE. Certification of Trainees will be done jointly by IL&FS & ITl.
DTE will be responsible for authorizing ITIs/ Authorities involved in CTS/MES courses. DTE would permit IL&FS Skills to work with various ITIs under the DTE to refurbish and introduce Courses as per the Policy Guidelines in courses.
Cairn India as part of this initiative shall provide for refurbishments of infrastructure and provision for supplementary teachers in ITI’s which is required to deliver/implement the vocational training courses/programmes as identified/envisaged under this MOU. It shall also provide for all the finances and monitoring support to IL&FS as per agreed terms and conditions.
IL&FS Skills is the operating partner and will be responsible for faculty recruitment, training, student mobilization, transaction of Curriculum and training delivery, industry visits, monitoring and providing print course content. IL&FS Skills will partner with relevant industries for deeper involvement into the course to make it market relevant.
