JAIPUR: YES BANK, India’s fifth largest private sector Bank, partnered Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti, popularly known as Jaipur Foot, under YES COMMUNITY, its flagship social engagement platform, to ensure physical, economic and social rehabilitation of the differently-abled.
The partnership is a part of YES BANK’s Walk to Make Someone Walk initiative under which YES BANK has committed to make a monetary contribution against each step walked by YES BANK employees. This initiative is aimed at providing dignity of life and mobility to the differently-abled while encouraging healthy living amongst YES BANKers and has impacted 400 lives so far.
Speaking about the association, Ms. Namita Vikas, Senior President & Country Head, Responsible Banking, YES BANK said “YES BANK truly believes in creating an inclusive equitable society by undertaking socially relevant initiatives. Founded by D R Mehta in 1975, Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS) is the world’s largest organization serving the physically challenged by providing assistance, including artificial limbs, calipers and other aids and appliances.
