NAGPUR : Coal Major Western Coalfields Ltd. was awarded with Caring company Award by the jury and Council of Board Members of World CSR Congress
Western Coalfields Ltd; which came in to existence in 1975 with formation of Coal India Ltd; has not only filled the coffers of Govt. as the highest corporate tax payer in the central India, but also has taken up many CSR initiatives in its command area, resulting in positive change in the lives of the populace by providing medial facility to the people Below Poverty Line, building roads, providing drinking water facilities in the near by villagers are some of the initiatives which have been appreciated by all.
Sri. R. R. Mishra Chairman cum MD, Western Coalfields Ltd has thanked Team WCL for the achievement and called upon them to contribute furtherance of CSR goal of the company.
