Heeding to the Prime Minister’s ‘Clean India’ vision, the hospital participates in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

MUMBAI: Wockhardt Hospitals is the latest to join the “Swachh Bharat Mission” launched under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As a part of the efforts, the hospital has organized a campaign ‘A step towards cleanliness’ involving their employees and citizens of the city. This campaign is their small contribution towards achieving the ‘Clean India’ vision of our Prime Minister.
As a part of the campaign, all the employees of the hospital took to clean the vicinity of the Wockhardt towers, BKC and also the people from the nearby areas joined the cleanliness drive. Wockhardt also circulated a badge with a message ‘A Step towards Cleanliness’ to all the participants. Total 35 employees spent their Monday morning by cleaning the streets of BKC to keep the surrounding clean.
Speaking about this initiative, Ms. Zahabiya Khorakiwala, Managing Director, Wockhardt Hospitals, said, “A clean India is the need of the hour. With the announcement of the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” by our Prime Minister, it is the responsibility of all citizens to participate in the mission and contribute to the cause. We also take this chance to reach out to the community directly and spread awareness about clean environment, which after all is essential for a healthy being.
