MUMBAI: Country’s premier institution of corporate affairs – Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), established and by and affiliated to Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India, has announced launch of 3rd batch of 9 months Certificate Programme in CSR to build capacity and deliver action research to the corporate and professionals. Spending on CSR training and capacity building has considered as CSR spend of the sponsoring organization.
“Registration will be open in July or August 2016. Date to be announced soon. Course will commence from January/February 2017 and will be continued till December 2017.”, Nikhil Pant, Chief Programme Executive, National Foundation for CSR (L&D), IICA said.
Graduate in any discipline with minimum 45% in aggregate from a recognized university are eligible to apply for the course.
Desirable Qualification: Exposure to social work projects, experience of short term course on social interventions and effective communication skills.
Individuals will be selected by online entrance test at designated centres. Sponsored applicants may exempted from the online entrance test.
The National Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility (NFCSR) established within the IICA, is the apex body for all subject related to CSR in the country.
IICA Certificate Programme (ICP) in CSR has been launched by the NFCSR in the year 2014 in order to meet the burgeoning demand for trained CSR professionals in the corporate, public and NGO sector.
“The programme has so far trained 160 CSR professionals in 2015, and another 130 students are currently undergoing the programme as part of Batch 2, and would be certified by December 2016 on successfully course requirements.”, Nikhil Pant, Chief Programme Executive, National Foundation for CSR (L&D), IICA informed India CSR in Mumbai.
