हिन्दुस्तान जिंक का यशद भवन बना सस्टेनेबिलिटी का उदाहरण, फिर से एलईईडी प्लेटिनम रेटिंग

उदयपुर। हिंदुस्तान जिंक लिमिटेड ने अपने उदयपुर स्थित कॉर्पोरेट मुख्यालय यशद भवन के लिए प्रतिष्ठित एलईईडी प्लेटिनम प्रमाणन को लगातार बनाएं रखा है। यह उपलब्धि भवन के उत्कृष्ट पर्यावरणीय प्रदर्शन और सतत विकास के प्रति कंपनी की मजबूत प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाती है।

85,000 वर्गफुट से अधिक क्षेत्र में फैले यशद भवन को एलईईडी वी4.1 एक्जिसटिंग बिल्डिंग आॅपरेशन्स एण्ड मेंटेनेन्स रेटिंग प्रणाली के तहत 100 में से 84 अंक प्राप्त हुए हैं। यह प्रमाणन ऊर्जा दक्षता, जल संरक्षण, स्वच्छ आंतरिक वातावरण, संसाधन प्रबंधन और पर्यावरण-अनुकूल संचालन जैसे मानकों पर उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन के आधार पर दिया जाता है। एलईईडी दुनिया की सबसे प्रतिष्ठित ग्रीन बिल्डिंग रेटिंग प्रणालियों में से एक है।

यह पुनः प्रमाणन दर्शाता है कि हिंदुस्तान जिंक ने अपने कार्यालय संचालन में पर्यावरण-अनुकूल प्रक्रियाओं को प्रभावी रूप से अपनाया है। यशद भवन में ऊर्जा-कुशल प्रणालियां, जल संरक्षण उपाय, बेहतर वायु गुणवत्ता, हरित सफाई व्यवस्था, सस्टेनेबल खरीद प्रक्रिया और प्रभावी अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन जैसे कई कदम लागू किए गए हैं। प्रदर्शन के विभिन्न मानकों में यशद भवन ने उत्कृष्ट परिणाम हासिल किए। भवन को इंडोर पर्यावरण गुणवत्ता में 95.5 प्रतिशत और मटेरियल्स एवं रिसोर्सेज श्रेणी में 100 प्रतिशत अंक प्राप्त हुए। इसके अलावा जल दक्षता में 86.7 प्रतिशत, ऊर्जा एवं वातावरण में 80 प्रतिशत और लोकेशन एवं ट्रांसपोर्टेशन में 78.6 प्रतिशत प्रदर्शन दर्ज किया गया।

इस अवसर पर हिन्दुस्तान जिंक के सीईओ अमरेंदु प्रकाश ने कहा कि, हिंदुस्तान जिंक में सस्टेनेबिलिटी केवल एक लक्ष्य नहीं बल्कि हमारे विकास का आधार है। यशद भवन का एलईईडी प्लेटिनम प्रमाणन बनाए रखना इस दिशा में हमारी निरंतर प्रतिबद्धता का प्रमाण है। हम नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा, संसाधनों के पुनः उपयोग, जल संरक्षण और आधुनिक तकनीकों के माध्यम से अपने सभी परिचालन क्षेत्रों में इसी सोच को आगे बढ़ा रहे हैं, ताकि विकास और पर्यावरण संरक्षण साथ-साथ आगे बढ़ें।

यशद भवन की यह उपलब्धि कंपनी के व्यापक सतत विकास प्रयासों को भी मजबूती देती है। हिंदुस्तान जिंक वर्तमान में 3.32 गुना वाटर पॉजिटिव है और अपने परिचालन क्षेत्रों में जीरो लिक्विड डिस्चार्ज प्रथाओं का पालन करती है। जल पुनर्चक्रण, संरक्षण और जिम्मेदार जल प्रबंधन के माध्यम से कंपनी लगातार जल संसाधनों के संरक्षण पर काम कर रही है। कंपनी ने अपने ऊर्जा मिश्रण में स्वच्छ ऊर्जा की हिस्सेदारी बढ़ाकर 22 प्रतिशत कर दी है और वित्त वर्ष 2028 तक इसे 70 प्रतिशत नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा तक पहुंचाने का लक्ष्य रखा है। यह प्रयास वर्ष 2050 या उससे पहले नेट जीरो उत्सर्जन हासिल करने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कदम है।

इसके साथ ही हिंदुस्तान जिंक अपने परिचालन क्षेत्रों में जैव विविधता संरक्षण, पारिस्थितिकी पुनर्स्थापन, इलेक्ट्रिक मोबिलिटी और कम-कार्बन लॉजिस्टिक्स को भी बढ़ावा दे रही है। ये सभी पहल कंपनी के सस्टेनेबिलिटी गोल्स 2030 का हिस्सा हैं, जिनका उद्देश्य जल संरक्षण, जलवायु कार्रवाई, सर्कुलर अर्थव्यवस्था और जिम्मेदार संचालन को बढ़ावा देना है। उल्लेखनीय है कि हिंदुस्तान जिंक को एसएण्डपी ग्लोबल कॉर्पोरेट सस्टेनेबिलिटी असेसमेंट 2025 में लगातार तीसरे वर्ष दुनिया की सबसे सस्टेनेबल मेटल एवं माइनिंग कंपनी का दर्जा मिला है। साथ ही वर्ष 2025 में कंपनी इंटरनेशनल काउंसिल ऑन माइनिंग एंड मेटल्स से जुड़ने वाली पहली भारतीय कंपनी भी बनी।
