Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd. is one of India’s largest premium beverage businesses, with a legacy of over 50 years in packaged drinking water and refreshment beverages. The company is the maker of Bisleri packaged drinking water, which it describes as the country’s largest-selling brand in the category. Its business is built around a commitment to deliver pure, safe and healthy drinking water, supported by manufacturing, quality assurance, distribution and direct-to-consumer access.

Bisleri follows a 10-stage purification process and conducts 90 quality tests on its packaged drinking water. The company states that these systems are designed to ensure consistency, hygiene and food-safety compliance across its operations. Its operating footprint includes 130 operational plants and a distribution network of more than 6,000 distributors and 7,500 distribution trucks across India and the UAE market. This scale allows Bisleri to serve individual consumers, families, institutions and travel-related consumption needs across urban and regional markets.

In addition to its flagship packaged drinking water, Bisleri International has developed a multi-brand beverage portfolio for different consumption occasions. Vedica Himalayan Spring Water serves the premium water segment, while Bisleri Soda, Limonata, Pop, Spyci Jeera and Rev expand its presence in carbonated and flavoured refreshments. This mix places the company across daily hydration, premium water and refreshment categories, creating options for consumers with varied preferences and usage occasions.

The company has also strengthened its digital consumer interface through Bisleri@Doorstep, its direct-to-consumer platform. The service enables customers to order select Bisleri products online, including through one-time purchases and subscriptions. By combining its physical distribution capability with doorstep delivery, the platform aims to provide a convenient and uninterrupted supply of products to households and other users.

Bisleri’s stated vision is to be a leading player in branded water and to expand its presence in the premium beverage category. Its mission focuses on customer satisfaction through product quality, presentation, production and distribution. The company identifies integrity, leadership, teamwork, cooperation, quality, passion, openness and transparency as its core values. These principles guide its broader effort to create growth while embedding responsible business practices.

Sustainability is a key part of this approach. Under Sustainability 2.0 and its Bisleri Greener Promise, the company focuses on recycling, water conservation and sustainability initiatives. Its Bottles for Change programme engages communities, institutions, corporates and local bodies to promote source segregation, responsible plastic disposal, collection and recycling. The initiative views used plastic as a resource that can be channelled into a circular economy, rather than treated as waste.

Water stewardship is another important pillar of Bisleri’s social and environmental work. Through Project Nayi Umeed, the company builds and restores check dams to harvest rainwater and recharge groundwater. It also supports water-conservation projects in communities facing resource stress. By connecting water, recycling and responsible consumption with business operations, Bisleri International seeks to contribute to a more sustainable future. Its engagement with Dr. M.G.R. Fisheries College and Research Institute in Tamil Nadu further extends this work by involving students in practical awareness, collection and recycling activities within campuses and surrounding communities.
